What is fraud? It is more than an employee faking an injury or working while receiving workers compensation wage loss benefits. It encompasses medical providers authorizing and billing excessively or for uncompleted medical services or employers falsifying payroll records to lower premiums. When fraud occurs, it costs all of us and it is AGAINST THE LAW! To report suspicious activity, you can either fill out State Fund's Internet Reporting Form (accessible from the Online Tools/Report Fraud section of their website), or call their Fraud Hotline: 888-MTCRIME (888-682-7463).
